My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark gold
Nose: Green apples, banana, honey, bee’s wax, vanilla, hints of polished wood.
Palate: Stewed apples, gooseberries, honey, vanilla, butterscotch, candied ginger, hints of Earl Grey tea and pepper.
Finish: Long, waxy and fruity.
Overall: The famous waxy mouthfeel of Clynelish is very prominent here, together with a slight woody driness. This is a very good alternative to the original 14 yo bottling.
